Boys Basketball

High school boys basketball focuses on building skills in teamwork, strategy, and competition. Players develop fundamentals such as shooting, passing, defense, and court awareness while competing in regular season games and tournaments. The program emphasizes discipline, cooperation, and sportsmanship, with opportunities to represent the school at both the conference and state levels. Teams compete in matches during a season of games and tournaments. All students in grades 7-12 are welcome, regardless of experience level.  Teams include Varsity, JV, B-squad, C-squad, 8th grade, and 7th grade. All students in grades 7-12 are welcome, regardless of experience level.

Participation & Practice

Practices are held after school throughout the week. Game schedules vary each week and often include Saturday tournaments.  Interested students should connect with Head Coach Matt Cordes (mcordes@isd717.org) and complete the necessary participation forms.
